Update: Charlie Sheen speaks out in TV interview, admits HIV infection

Charlie’s behavior, on and off the show, is very similar when it came to womanizing, drinking and drugs and it would all have been alright till now. Many accepted that he was never going to give up his ways, Charlie included. He kept on indulging himself until he made a very concerning confession.

Charlie recently revealed in an interview that he is afflicted with HIV. The 50 year old actor said that he has known for quite a while and he has even been receiving treatment.

His ex-wife Denise Richards confirmed that she knew about his disease. He contracted it after they had divorced so Denise and her children with Charlie were not afflicted by it. There daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10 are not HIV positive.

Heather Locklear, his old time friend, had nothing but kind words for him. She posted a picture of him and herself on her Instagram and captioned that her heart hurts. Her prayers were with Charlie and his family.

Hollywood publicist and crisis manager Howard Bragman is concerned for other things. He said that Charlie’s revelation might be an invitation for all the people he has had sex with in the past few years to sue him. It is a punishable offense in California to expose another person to a communicable disease without informing them.

Charlie might be facing up to 6 months of jail time if even one of the lawsuits carry through. There has been no lawsuits filed yet by anyone but Charlie’s legal team has their eyes peeled for any signs.
