Google Chromebit By ASUS Now Available For $85

Turn your TV into a Chromebook for just $85!

Google revealed its HDMI dongle in March this year. The new HDMI is manufactured by Asus. It converts any compatible display easily in to a Chrome OS computer.

Finally, the company has officially released it for $85. The new device is powered by the Rockchip 3288 chipset with Mali 760 GPU.

The 75 gram Chromebit will be available with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. There will also be a full USB 2.0 port.

As far as the connectivity options are concerned, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. You can directly plug it into the HDMI port of your TV or monitor.

The Chromebit will instantly turn that screen into a full-on computer. No keyboard or mouse will be available with Chromebit.

You will have to include your own Bluetooth peripherals for the stick to work. Although the price for the device is very low, but it true to the features it offer.

You will be able to do all the things you can do on a Chromebook or a Chromebox. The speed of the device can be a bit slow when compared to others.

Chromebit will be available in several countries around the globe. The announced names include Australia, US, Japan, Spain, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Taiwan, Finland, New Zealand, UK, Sweden, and the New Zealand.

The retailers in the United States include Amazon, Fry's and Newegg.
