The Bold Motion Smartwatch By HP and Movado Announced

HP has just announced its second smartwatch. The new watch is made in partnership with the famous Swiss watchmaker Movado.

The new Movado Bold Motion is quite similar to our traditional watches rather than the Chronowing. The only thing which sells the point is the presence of internal LED lights.

It features HP’s performance technology The watch has stainless steel casing which measures about 44mm. It further has a black PVD-finish.

The watch is waterproof up to 50m depth in water. The watch can be connected with both iOS8 and higher or Android4.4 and higher device over Bluetooth.

You will have options of either a black silicone strap or a stainless steel buckle to choose from. Bold Motion has no screen.

Notifications will be displayed to you through two ways; Firstly, the vibration or otherwise LEDs.

The notifications will appear like this; For example, you have a meeting at 12:00, it will be shown to you with two lights on 12 o'clock.

Something similar to email will be shown as a pattern of lights. The watch will also notifying users of incoming texts and calls, organizing priorities.

Apart from the above mentioned features, it also offers daily steps and activity monitoring. The notifications without the screen will be very limited.

The limited alert means you should get a bigger and better life. But, the watch is pretty disappointing when it comes to the battery capacity.

As per the official sources, the battery will only last for a week which is a quite disappointing factor for Bold Motion.

As mentioned above, the watch is manufactured with the collaboration of Swiss watchmaker Movado, so it carries the similar price tag as the other watches of the same company.

The Bold Motion is listed on company’s website with a price of $785.
