  • December line up for SNL welcomes back Amy Poehler and Tina Fey

The dynamic duo, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are set to host SNL to the excitement of the SNL fans with Ryan Gosling also making a hosting debut this month.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are pet names at Saturday Night Live. They made the show’s history as the first female duo to do the Weekend Updates together for two years together until Tina left for 30 Rock.

The duo reunited on SNL in 2008 for one of the show's most iconic sketches, in which Poehler played Hillary Clinton and Fey portrayed then-Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who could see Russia from her house. They also returned for the show's 40th anniversary special to take over the Weekend Update desk together once again.

The duo returns once again to host the show. The date to look out for is December 19th. They will be appearing following the release of their new movie Sisters in which they are in fact playing sisters.

Having hosted three Golden Globe awards ceremonies together probably make them more. Bruce Springstreen and the E Street Band will be featuring as the musical guests on their episode.

The show is doing three back to back shows featuring these two amazing actresses. The series of shows this month would be kicked off by Ryan Gosling. It will be his debut on the show hosting it.

Leon Bridges will be the musical guest on the episode. The following Saturday will be welcoming back Chris Hemsworth for the second time. Chance the Rapper will do musical honors for the episode.

SNL celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year with a special presentation which featured the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards and Taylor Swift. Springsteen celebrated his own 40-year milestone for his masterpiece Born to Run.
