China’s fossil fuel emissions are to get curbed thanks to the climate change measures that are being taken worldwide.

China has curbed its emissions of carbon dioxide amidst the efforts to forestall climate change. Clean sources of energy are the watchword. The burning of fossil fuels is the #1 reason behind carbon dioxide emissions.

In China, the rise in CO2 will be only 0.24% this year. That is the lowest it has ever been in a decade and a half. This is in accordance with all the data compiled from various factories and industrial units.

China’s usage of coal as a resource may drop by as much as 0.59% this year. The increase in demand for oil and gas will be something left to tackle though. In 2014, the emission were 1%.

For the time being, carbon emissions have been curbed. Whether this will be the case in the long run remains to be seen. China wants a cleaner, more pristine environment. And so greenhouse gases have got to go.

China is employing such sources of energy as wind, solar and nuclear power to run its economy. This is a contrast to how things were previously. The result is that dependence on coal has been considerably slashed.

The President of China, Xi Jinping will attend the Climate Change Conference in Paris. There 130 heads of state will meet to discuss ways to control emissions so as to offset the dangers of global warming. US President, Barack Obama will be there too.

The date set for the conference is November 30th. It is hoped that greater cooperation between nations will lead to a pact on climate change policy. And if all goes well, the rules and regulations that will be agreed upon will be binding on all nations.

China is currently the second biggest economic power in the world. It is only surpassed by the US. The Sino-sphere will be a deal maker or deal breaker when it comes to the Paris Summit.

China has made a promise that it will slash carbon emissions considerably by 2030, according to Bloomberg. From the original pollution of 2005, this will be a reduction of 60% to 65%. It will surely make a world of difference.

China’s economy is changing right before our very eyes. The people are industrious and willing to change their lifestyle for the sake of a cleaner environment. Coal consumption has already declined and it will be a cinch for the Chinese to curb emissions by 2030.
