Hubble Captures Image Of Galaxy Dancing A Ballroom Tango

NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has captured the image of a strange galaxy moving in a manner that suggests a crazy dance of sorts as it merged with another of its kind - NASA reports.

The curious galaxy is named: 2MASX J16270254+4328340 – a scramble of letters and numbers, you’d say.

The merger between the crazy galaxy and another has produced a cool mist composed of millions of stars, emanating from its path.

Regardless, the Hubble space telescope was able to fully capture the macabre dance between the merging galaxies as they sum up their partnership. Meanwhile, further analysis shows the transforming galaxy is nearly the end of its life-span and won’t be able to form new stars for very long.

The fact however is that before this time, a galvanized activity of star formation was created when the gases emanating from both galaxies interacted with each other. The subsequent result was that heightened rate of star formations depleted the store of gas, making the galaxy inactive and unable to create any new stars.

And then, as the friction between the merged galaxies subsided, new spores of stars formed from their interaction will start to redden with age and also start to cool and then diminish in intensity one after the other until they all die out. When no other stars are formed to replenish this population, the galaxy gradually cools down and then starts to fade out until it becomes totally inactive.
