The first Black Friday 2015 sales statistics are in for Thanksgiving Day.

Black Friday 2015 online sales started around midnight ET on Thanksgiving Day. Adobe is reporting that online retailers have passed the half-billion sales mark at 11am ET.

This is $100 million (24%) more sales than last year during the same time period. Smartphones and tablets drove over 50% of traffic to retail sites so far.

Smartphone share of mobile shopping grew by a staggering 30% YoY (13% in 2014 and 17% this year). The average item sold with 23% discount so far. Adobe expects discounts to grow as more Black Friday deals come online this evening.

Adobe tracks online sales of 65 Million visits to more than 4,500 U.S. retail sites between midnight and 11:00 a.m. ET today.

“Thanksgiving morning sales are off to a strong start, dominated early by mobile shopping, and today is expected to offer the highest overall discounts of the year. Average discounts of 23 percent are two percent less than last year’s 25 percent, but prices are expected to continually drop as more Black Friday sales come online. We still expect the total day’s online sales to come in less than one percent from our original prediction at $1.65 billion.” – Tamara Gaffney, principal research analyst, Adobe Digital Index.

The hottest selling products today include Samsung 4K TVs, Sony PlayStaton 4, Xbox One, and Beats by Dr. Dre.
