$60,000 Nokia OZO VR Camera Pre-order Begins

Nokia's future is on pre-order. The new professional Virtual Reality camera OZO PC-01 can be pre-ordered now.

Nokia is reinventing itself as Virtual Reality player. The sphere shaped professional virtual reality camera Nokia OZO PC-01 is available now for pre-oder. The OZO has a hefty price tag of $60,000 and will ship Q1 2016.

Nokia would have need to sell a ton of cellphones for one OZO. The pre-order requires a $5,000 deposit.

Virtual Reality pioneers can captures 360° spherical video and 360x360 surround sound with the OZO. The system offers Live Virtual Reality Preview, and seamlessly integrates with existing video and audio compositing workflows.

Nokia's engineers created a device that takes virtual reality video creation from DIY rigs to a beautiful design device.

The sphere houses 8 synchronized 2k x 2k sensors. Capture VR videos at 30fps is stored on a 500GB SSD drive. The OZO overs wireless connectors.
