  • Lamborghini files to trademark the name Egoista!

The trademark may mean Lamborghini will build the single seat car concept.

The Lamborghini Egoista was a car concept first revealed in 2013. Since then Lamborghini has remained silent on the concept. The Egoista was a single car seat super car concept. Recently Lamborghini announced they have filed a petition to trademark the name Egoista.

The filing could mean the Egoista could be going into production, according to AutoGuide. However there is no guarantee the concept will be put into production. But the process does give hope about the Egoista concept.

The Egoista concept was released by Lamborghini on its 50th anniversary. The Egoista was sort of a birthday present by Lamborghini to itself. The Egoista was hailed as a radical design at the time.

The design was penned by Walter De Silva and inspired by helicopter gunships. The concept featured a single solitary seat under a canopy. The single seat led to the concept getting its one of a kind name Egoista.

The Egoista was detailed to come with a 5.2-liter V10 engine. The engine was similar to the ones present in Gallardo and Huracán. As a result the Egoista would have been able to produce about 600 horsepower.

The Egoista concept was never displayed at any auto shows. The concept was directly displayed at the Lamborghini museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese. According to Lamborghini the Egosita concept is pure emotion.

The concept is equivalent to Never Never Land, which no one can ever possess. The concept will always remain a fream for everyone. Either the filing could mean Lamborghini had a change of heart or they will use the name for some other applications.
