Cars, smart devices, drones etc. all such products will be on display at the show in Las Vegas.

The 2016 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) is less than a month away. The show will take place during the first week of January 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is reported more than 20,000 products will be displayed at the CES 2016.

More than 3,600 exhibitors from around the world are going to take part in the CES 2016. A majority of the products to be displayed at the CES are smart devices drones and cars with technological advances. The upcoming industry gathering will remain in full swing from the 6th to the 9th of January.

The Consumer Technology Association will be operating the annual trade show. Gary Shapiro is the President and CEO of CTA. Shapiro has shared his excitement for the upcoming event through numerous statements. A three day event was also held by CTA to determine the kind of product displayed at CES.

The event took place in the current week and was hosted in New York City. The event gave CTA an idea of what to expect in the upcoming CES 2016. The CTA has released a sneak peek of the products to debut at CES 2016.

Innovators from around the world have been readying themselves for the event for the last 18 months. Shawn DuBravac is the CTA chief economist and senior research director. According to DuBravac innovators had entered a massive experimental phase for CES 2016. The phase involved looking at technology through their potential for the future.

A majority of the products are smart tech devices. Three products we are really excited about are the wearable smart devices, drones and smart cars. More than 150-plus health, wellness and fitness tech exhibitors will be coming to CES.

One such product is being shown by the Finland based company Oura. The Oura will present a ring which can measure vital signs. The ring is called the Oura Ring and comes with a starting price of $279.

The ring will be available for shipping in December. The ring takes pulse, movements and body temperature into its smartphone app. Then the Oura ring delivers information on sleeping pattern and recommendations to improve lifestyle. The recommendations are actionable and help sleep restoration at mental and physical level.

Similarly the Lily Camera Drone will make its debut at CES 2016. The product is a camera drone by a company called Lily Robotics. The drone is priced at $799 and will be available for sale and shipping from February 2016.

The Lily camera drone only weighs 2.8-pound and records video, audio and shoots stills. The drone follows the user via a tracking device. According to Shapiro drones technology is reaching new heights and changing the way we view the world. The Lily camera drone will increase drone presence at CES 2016.

The automotive industry is not to be left behind when talking about technology. Reportedly nine major automakers will attend the CES 2016. Similarly more than 100 auto tech companies will also be at the show. The presence of automakers has increased by 25% since CSE 2014 this year.

Shapiro stated the presence of automakers is considerably really big in 2015. Shapiro also revealed car technology companies will unveil a complete immersive infotainment experience.

Other technological advances to be unveiled at CES 2016 include active window displays. Similarly accident notifications and navigation systems will also be presented by automotive companies.

TV makers are also allegedly going to display 4K Ultra HD TVs. The Ultra High Definition set TVs will mark their debut at CES 2016. Then the TV sets will be available in the market from September 2016. The new range of TVs will feature High Dynamic Range (HDR) capabilities. The HDRs will have improved brightness and richer colors.

LG Electronics will be one of companies to display their TVs at CES 2016. According to LG consumers are accepting the concept of 4K & 8 million pixels on screen. The demand has also been increasing significantly for 4K UHD sets through word of mouth.

In a similar fashion Hollywood studios is going to unveil 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray movie discs. The 20th Century Fox movie ‘The Martian’ will be available in the 4K discs. Amy Jo Smith is the president of the Digital Entertainment Group.

Smith stated the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray movie discs complement the players. The discs will make the 4K Ultra HD TVs even more beautiful and brighter. Smith will also take the stage to discuss the design of the 4K Ultra HD discs.

In the apps department the LifeSite app has been mentioned in the sneak peeks. LifeSite is an app which aims to provide secure storage for personal information. The info would be saved in the LifeSite Vault. It is a Web-based tool and companion mobile app. Data such as financial records, legal documents and passwords can all be stored. The app has high-level document encryption and only permission-based sharing. Back-up contacts can also be created on LifeSite.

A band called Quell claims to provide drug-free pain relief. The band has been designed by the company NeuroMetrix. The band uses new technology called wearable intensive nerve stimulation (WINS). The band is targeted at patients with chronic pain.

The pain could be caused by conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis or Sciatica. The band works by stimulating sensory nerves. The nerves carry neural pulses to the brain. The pulses can blocks pain signals throughout the body. The band Quell connects with the smartphone and also works during sleep.

Adidas is going to introduce the SmartRun watch and Smart Ball. The Adidas SmartRun is a high-end running watch. The watch has a price tag of $300and will be unveiled at CES 2016. The watch helps serious runners improve with real-time coaching. The watch also has heart rate monitor, GPS, speed recorder, wireless music and eight hour battery. The Smart Ball on the other hand is a soccer ball. The soccer ball has integrated sensor. The sensors provide feedback on speed, spin, trajectory, and strike point. The feedback data uploads to the smartphone of the user.

In 2014 CES had more than record 176,000-plus attendees. This year the management of CES 2016 has decided to restrict the number of people which will attend. Shapiro shared they believed the attendance would become too much and want to give people a comfortable experience. The audience will be handled so there are not more than 170,000 attendees. The allowance of attendees will be more than 150,000 but less than 2014’s numbers.

The official account of CES 2016 on Twitter has been keeping fans up to date before the event. The CES management also tweeted the registration fee will increase to $300 by 21st December. So participants still waiting to register need to hurry if they want to save $200.
