The trailer released online was viewed 61 million times around the world in the first 24 hours of release.

The third Captain America instalment will be released in theatres on the 6th of May, 2016. The first trailer for ‘Captain America: Civil War’ was released last Tuesday. The trailer broke viewing records in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Marvel.

The trailer was viewed 61 million times around the globe in its first day of release. The trailer was launched by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Three posters for the epic film were also released after the debut of the trailer. 

The previous Marvel film ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ had a record trailer debut of 34 million views in 2014. The debut trailer of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ broke the previous record with double the views.

Captain America: Civil War has been directed by the brothers Joe and Anthony Russo. The latest film will continue the storyline from ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. 

The trailer shows the character of "Bucky" Barnes has regained his memory. Bucky is played by Sebastian Stan, who also played the Winter Soldier. The story shows the federal unit of the government wants to arrest Bucky.

However Steve Rogers aka Captain America protects and hides his friend Bucky at all expenses. This brings a rift between Captain America and Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The trailer featured a fight between Captain America and Bucky against Iron Man.

Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. reprises their roles as Captain America and Iron Man in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Also starring are Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Anthony Mackie as Falcon.
