Star Wars was born in the 70s. The lead actors are still alive today, and some even appear in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.

The wait is almost over. The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie will be in theaters on December 18. The first Star Wars movie premiered in 1977, and is part of the original trilogy.

Some of the actors of the original trilogy will appear in the new Star Wars: Episode VII. Mark Hamill will again play Luke Skywalker, after almost 40 years. Harrison Ford stars as Han Solo again and Carrie Fisher is Princess (General) Leia. Peter Mayhew makes a comeback as Chewbacca.

Han Solo and Chewbacca clearly held up the best over the past decades.
