Apple finally grants official support for the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter on compatible iPhones with iOS 9.2.

Apple’s iOS 9.2 has been a breath of fresh air for iPhone users.

It has improved a lot and has fixed many bugs here and there. One of the feature that iOS 9.2 brings along is the support for Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for selected iPhones.

The adapter was not supported before this update. But, now the adapter has official support.

It implies that the iPhone users can now plug USB equipped media kit into an iPhone.

Those who are shooting videos and want to share them instantly on social networking platforms can now do that quickly by plugging the camera directly with USB cable, then the Lighting to USB Camera Adapter and finally into an iPhone.

If you do not want to follow this long procedure than you can also use the updated version of Apple’s lightning to SD Card Camera Reader.

Lightning to USB Camera Adapter also supports audio input devices such as microphones. The Adapter is capable of handling just 20mA.

But if you want more power than you can use more powered USB hub. You can buy the official Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for just $29.

All the official Apple Stores are now selling this accessory.
