Huawei is reportedly launching its Honor brand in the United States at the CES 2016.

As reported, China's Huawei will unveil something new at the CES 2016. The invite already revealed that Huawei will introduce the Honor brand in the US at the CES 2016.

Huawei sells the Huawei Honor branded smartphones in China and other markets. A source told 9to5Google that Huawei will introduce the Honor 5X in the US at the CES event.

The Honor 5X features a 5.5-inch screen running on a Snapdragon 616 with either 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. A 13MP camera in the back and a 5MP camera in the front add to the features. Storage can be expanded with microSD cards. Other features include fingerprint sensor, 3,000mAh battery, and 1080p resolution. The device specs are not big news. The interesting part of the announcement will be the price.

Huawei goes all out for the Honor brand and has setup a whole website. You can see the Honor 5X product page on the Chinese version of the site.

The American English version lists right now the Honor 7, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6 and Honor 4X. The site seems to be still under development as social buttons are for instance end up nowhere.

The Huawei press conference is invite only. It takes place at 8pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the Mandalay Bay.

The CES 2016 will take place on January 6-9, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Most announcements will be made ahead of the CES opening in early January. Our CES 2016 coverage is already picking up. Check out the latest CES 2016 News.
