Xiaomi Announces Its Second Made In India Note Prime

Xiaomi launches Redmi Note Prime with 5.5-inch display.

Xiaomi has already launched its first made-in-India handset Redmi 2. Now, the company has also revealed its second device in the same country. The handset named as Redmi Note Prime has now been revealed by the company.

As far as we know, the device runs on Snapdragon 410 SoC with quad-core 1.2GHz CPU. It also has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. The new Xiaomi handset is available with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The Redmi Note Prime has a 5MP selfie camera along with 13MP rear shooter.

The device has a powerful 3,100mAh battery. The dimensions of the device are 154x78.7x9.4mm while it weighs 185g.

The Note Prime is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat-based MIUI 7. It offers 4G and dual-SIM connectivity options.

Xiaomi’s India Head Manu Jain stated that the new device is a perfect opportunity for Mi Fans to upgrade to a powerful Smartphone.

He also said that the fast battery along with MIUI optimizations has enabled the device to achieve the most impressive battery performance till yet.

The made-in-India Xiaomi Note Prime carries the price tag of INR 8,499 (nearly $125).

The device is available online on Amazon India exclusive. The handset is also listed on Mi.com.

The sales will start from tomorrow, 15-Dec-2016.
