You Can Now Weigh Objects Using Your iPhone 6S And 6S Plus

Developers have already started to make use of 3D touch in interesting ways.

Apple, long before launching iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, told us that the new devices would be coming with 3D Touch.

We knew that Apple would fulfill its promises, but we doubted that most of the people would be using the screen as a weighing scale.

However iPhone 6S and 6S Plus owners want to weigh things using their new iPhones.

All of our doubts were cleared, when we actually saw the tests results.

The new phones are literally capable of giving you exact measurements.

It was initially expected that this function wouldn't yield much, but the news turns out to be false as the device weighs nearly perfectly.

For those who don’t know how to weigh objects using their iPhones, we have described the whole process in detail below;

STEP 1:

Go to pltarun.github.io/scale using your iPhone 6S or 6S Plus.

STEP 2:

Place your iPhone on a flat and hard surface. Now, take a simple container in which you will weigh your device.

After taking the container, place it on the screen where “Place object here” option displays.

Afterwards, press the Tare button.

STEP 3:

After placing the container and tapping the button, place the object which you wanted to weigh.

STEP 4:

Now relax and watch in patience. Your iPhone display the exact weight of the object you have placed.

The result would be minus the weight of the container you’re using. This is all. You are done!!

Now, you can way whatever object you want and get the exact results.

But, keep it certain that the container should be steady while you are placing objects on it.

Moving it too much, can give you inaccurate readings. For those who are not getting proper readings, go to the Settings app and change the 3D Touch sensitivity option to the Medium.

That can be easily found through General > Accessibility > 3D Touch. That’s all you needed to know. Happy Weighing!
