Shock Top Super Bowl 50 Ad Confirmed

Anheuser-Busch InBev will air an Shock Top Super Bowl 50 commercial.

Anheuser-Busch InBev will give one of its Super Bowl 50 ad slots to their wheat beer brand Shock Top. The California brewed wheat beer brand is aiming at Miller Coors Blue Moon with the first ever Shock Top Super Bowl commercial.

The Shock Top Super Bowl 50 ad was already confirmed back in September. "As California is the brand's spiritual home, it's fitting that the 50th edition will take place in San Francisco," Jake Kirsch, VP for Shock Top, said in a statement to Ad Age.

The details of the first Shock Top Super Bowl commercial are not known. It is likely to be edgy. The brand recently partnered Tough Mudder.

Anheuser-Busch is each year giving a smaller brand of their portfolio a shot at the Super Bowl. There will be though Super Bowl 50 ads for Budweiser and Bud Light as well.

Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, at the Levi's Stadium. The stadium is the home of the home of the San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl 50 will be topping all previous Super Bowl's because of the anniversary. Marketers are flocking to Super Bowl 50 and it will be a huge TV event.
