  • CES 2016: Cadence Designs announces showcase of their intellectual property (IP)

Cadence plans to demonstrate its Tensilica system, the IoT DSPs and the MIPI SoundWire IP.

Cadence Designs announced plans to announce the showcase its (IP) Intellectual Property at CES 2016. The showcase will take place in the room MP25677, South Hall 2 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Cadence announced it will host meetings with leading systems and semiconductor companies at CES. Cadence will demonstrate its Tensilica audio, imaging & vision system at the CES 2016 convention.

Similarly the Cadence IoT DSPs, an IP subsystem for USB Type-C will also be displayed at CES. Lastly Cadence will showcase the MIPI SoundWire IP at CES 2016.

The Dolby Audio Premium which utilizes the Tensilica HiFi DSP will be displayed. The Dolby Audio Premium runs on tablets and notebooks. It delivers high-quality audio and virtual surround sound.

The Audio Weaver from DSP Concepts is another innovative design. The Audio Weaver is perfect for developing optimized embedded audio software.

The software will be developed on the Tensilica HiFi Audio/Voice DSPs. The systems will product developers to develop products and technology quickly.

Similarly the Realtek Sensor Fusion will demonstrate ultra-low energy "Always-On" sensor fusion. It will be demonstrated along with software partner Cywee and Cyberon.

The Realtek will run on the new Tensilica Fusion DSP-based SoC. Likewise the Face Detection will be showcased using the Tensilica Vision P5 DSP.

Face detection will be used in mobile and wearable devices. Similarly the People Detection will employ the automotive ADAS and surveillance cameras.

The CTA is the major organizer of the CES 2016 and has been for over 40 years. CES 2016 will see 3600 exhibitors and 150,000 attendees. The Consumer Electronics Show is slated for the January 6-9, 2016. The exhibition will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
