2016 is the Year of iPhone 7 and iPhone 6c

The next year is going to bring the iPhone 7, expected to feature a all-new design.

2015 is coming to an end and Apple fans are already getting excited about 2016. It will be the year of the iPhone 7. A new report from China raises speculations that Apple will jump from the iPhone 5c to the iPhone 7c as well.

A slide from a China Mobile presentation lists an iPhone 7c coming in April of 2016. Despite the report getting a lot of attention, we do not believe that Apple will reveal an iPhone 7c ahead of the flagship iPhone 7 expected for Fall.

It is widely expected that Apple will unveil an iPhone 6c in the Spring to please the 4-inch screen-size fans. Rumors about an iPhone 6c have been around for a while. I am not excited about the prospect of a 4-inch iPhone. I made the mistake to just upgrade from an iPhone 5S to an iPhone 6S and not iPhone 6S Plus.

I will switch to an iPhone 7 Plus as soon as it is available. The details floating about the iPhone 7 are so far only speculations. It is safe to say that Apple will feature a more powerful A10 CPU and maybe more RAM in the iPhone 7.

Besides more performance, I just hope Apple will fix the design of the iPhone in the iPhone 7 release. The iPhone 6S backside still makes me throw up, every time I look at it.
