Gigi shared henna designs on her Instagram and saluted her Middle Eastern cultural heritage.

Gigi Hadid just proved she values the significance of friendship and her cultural heritage. Gigi shared an image of henna designs on her hand along with some of her friends.

According to Hadid the picture shows her oldest friends and herself with henna tats. The image shows four hands covered in intricately-drawn henna designs. On Wednesday Gigi posted the image on her official Instagram account.

The 20 years old supermodel captioned the image saying she had the best night with her oldest friends. Gigi further stated she feels so blessed to have a foundation of friendships.

Her friendships will bond them for the rest of their lives. Gigi then revealed while with old friends she can talk around the clock. The friends Gigi is referring to seem to have been with her for 10 years.

Gigi called the feeling of getting together with them the most beautiful and grounding feeling. Gigi also addressed the spirit of togetherness felt on the holiday season.

According to Gigi being around families that raised you and the friends that were raised with yours is important. After a heartfelt message on the spirit of holiday Gigi ended with a defensive note.

Already having anticipated she might get a backlash for the henna art, Gigi set the records straight. Gigi wrote before everyone freaks out over ‘cultural appropriation’ they should check out her last name.

Gigi Hadid as the last name ‘Hadid’ implies is half-Palestinian. Gigi then ended the caption saying she is half-Palestinian and proud of her heritage.

Everyone knows Gigi is the daughter of reality star Yolanda Foster. Gigi’s father on the other hand is Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid.
