Apple Once Again Demands $180 Million From Samsung

And the battle continues....

Apple and Samsung are always head to head in sales against each other.

Moreover, the rivalry is always heightening by some serious legal issues.

Both the companies have accused each other for stealing each others’ ideas.

Still, after recent legal court proceedings most people thought that the fanfare would be over.

However, recent news is contradicting that. As we mentioned above, after the series of court proceeding Samsung was asked to pay $548 million to Apple.

The South Korean company, this month, paid the said amount to settle the differences and previous fines.

Now, the Cupertino giant Apple is demanding more. Apple wants additional $180 million from Samsung.

The extra sum demanded by the Apple is said to be due to the reason for the peripheral damages inflicted by Samsung after the cutoff date of the jury trial.

The amount is equal to 178.7 million plus an additional $1.2 million of prejudgment interest totaling around $180 million.

The extra demanded money is for the five Samsung phone models sold after 2012.

These models all violated the patents upon which the court fight was based. Of course, Samsung will never succumb to Apple’s new demand.

There will be fiery court proceedings and legal jurisdictions once again. Let’s wait to see which company the court sides with.
