Samsung is set to reveal a number of devices from its Creative Lab program at CES 2016. The start-up C-Lab program is dedicated to developing the employee’s experimental product ideas.

Samsung has decided to show off a number of never before seen devices at CES 2016. The devices are from Samsung’s Creative Lab or C-Lab program. The C-Lab program is a start-up within Samsung. The program is dedicated to developing employees' experimental product ideas.

One of the devices to be showcased is the WELT. WELT is a ‘smart belt’ which tracks users' waist size and activity. Another product is the TipTalk, which lets people listen to sound from smart-watches. Similarly Rink is another product which is a motion controller for virtual reality devices.

The C-Lab was an initiative by Samsung to promote creativity amongst their employees. According to Bloomberg, the C-Lab allows employees to take a year off from the monolithic corporate structure. In that year the employees pursue experimental projects. If the devices or businesses fail within five years the employees can return to their jobs.

Jai Lee is the head of the department that oversees C-Lab. According to Lee they hope the project will prompt hidden geniuses to stop hiding. Lee also admitted every division is more committed to moneymaking than looking into the future. According to Samsung currently nine projects have special high potential at the C-Lab. Three of the nine projects will be showcased at CES 2016.

"It’s true that instead of looking far into the future, every division is more engrossed in moneymaking," Jai Il Lee, head of the department that oversees C-Lab told Bloomberg. "We hope this project will prompt hidden geniuses to stop hiding and show themselves."

CES is undeniably the ultimate gathering place for those thriving on consumer technology business. The CES 2016 is organized by the CTA and will consist of more than 3600 exhibitors. The convention will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from the 6th to the 9th of January, 2016.
