Oscars 2016: Watch Chris Rock's First Oscars Commercial
  • Chris Rock stars in the promo for the upcoming Oscars
  • Compares Oscars to New Year's Eve in First Promo

Chris Rock is funny and sarcastic in the new promo for the Oscars which he will be hosting in the upcoming month.

Chris Rock is hosting this year’s Oscars. That may be bad news for all those who watched Chris host the Oscars the last time. Simply said, the Oscars for Chris were not great.

This year however, Chris was approached once more. That could be because Chris has become an all-rounder and somewhat of a comedic protégé in the last decade.

So this year, a little greyer and a more seasoned Chris Rock will be taking the stage. Although the nominations are yet to come and people have been concentrating on the nominations so much but Chris Rock’s new Oscar promo has us looking forward to the show.

The promo features Chris with his funny iconic voice saying that the Oscars are similar to New Year’s Eve. There are a lot of drunk, disappointed people who swear they will do better next year.

The statement is true because there are a whole lot more losers that winners on Oscars eve and it is hard not to feel sorry for them.

So Chris’s version is pretty much accurate. He added a little more by blowing a party popper at the end that sounded somewhat like utter disappointment more or less.

Chris updated his Twitter as the promo was released in which he said he wished three things that would not happen to him this year include Death, taxes and Oscars.

Chris might have his fingers crossed more than any of us when it comes to his success at the Oscars. He follows Neil Patrick Harris in hosting the Oscars. While Neil had some great moments, he is already giving advice to Chris about how he could host the Oscars successfully.
