Movi by Livestream Is Best CES 2016 Highlight Yet

A new pocket-sized live event camera let's you edit while you film is the best thing we have seen so far at CES 2016.

Forget 8K TVs and foldable OLED screens. This little camera is the most innovative thing announced so far at the CES 2016. The Movi camera developed by B2B live event service provider Livestream looks like Apple made it in its best years.

The Movi is a pocket-sized live event camera that let's you edit while you film. To best understand what that means is to watch the short video below.

The Movi camcorder fits in the palm of your hand. It has a 150-degree all glass lens and 4k sensor enabling an iOS app to control up to nine virtual HD cameras.

Live editing includes the ability to pan, zoom, and cut between multiple live shots, providing the same storytelling capabilities used in professional live TV productions.

The built-in people detection and movement tracking features allow Movi to make camera movement and editing decisions automatically. Customers can share their fully edited videos immediately to a social network or simultaneously stream the event live with an optional subscription starting at less than $9 per month.

Jesse Hertzberg, CEO of Livestream, says "Livestream creates products that enable anyone to share experiences through live video, unlocking a world where every event is available online. Unlike anything else on the market, Movi is packed with features and functionality that were previously only available to TV studios and companies willing to spend many thousands of dollars on equipment and manpower."

While a professional quality video requires multiple cameras with a dedicated film crew and often costs tens of thousands of dollars, Movi empowers anyone to produce a compelling video for an affordable price.

The Movi camera will ship in early April for $399. The Movi is available with a special $200 limited time pre-order discount at now, cutting the price down to an affordable $199.
