Microsoft Xbox One Has Reached 18 Million Users

Microsoft’s Xbox One has been quite popular among consumers. Children and adults around the world are the diehard fans of this popular gaming console. The sales of Xbox One systems have been increasing rapidly, even long after its release.

As per the report by ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley, the sales of the Microsoft Xbox One till now has reached around at-least 18 million.

Mary with her prior knowledge of Xbox revealed this news but said that she could not verify if the figure is accurate or not.

The revelation by Mary was made during the exclusive episode of the Windows Weekly podcast.

Apart from the figure, she also gave the breakdown of the 200 million Windows 10 devices.

Moreover, Microsoft also recently unveiled that more than 200 million monthly active devices worldwide are now running the OS.

While, dismembering and explaining the 200 million figure of Microsoft, as mentioned above, Mary’s statement also pointed to the fact that the 18 million Xbox One number incorporates just those consoles that Microsoft says are active and in-use consoles.

This term refers to all those consoles which have been under use since last 28 days.

While keeping the popularity of the Xbox One on the one side, Sony also announced that it has sold nearly 36 million PS4s till now.

The figure includes the 5.7 million consoles the company sold in the recent Christmas season.

It seems that both the consoles are in head-to-head race with each other.
