Oscars 2016 Nominations List Revealed

The Oscars 2016 Nominations are in.

The nominations for the Oscars 2016 have been announced. The Revenant got the most nominations with 12, including Best Picture and best actor in leading role. Mad Max: Fury Road got 10 nominations. Star Wars got 5 Oscar noms, but only in second tier awards.

The Oscars 2016 will be handed out on Feb. 28. The 88th Academy Awards, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best movies of 2015 and will take place on February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California at 5:30 p.m. PST / 8:30 p.m. EST.

Academy Awards will be given in 24 categories. The Oscars 2016 will be broadcasted by ABC. Chris Rock will host the Oscars for the second time, having previously hosted the 77th ceremony held in 2005.
