At the North American International Auto Show 2016 Acura unveiled a new Precision Concept. The new concept is developed by Acura’s California design studio.

The new Acura concept is meant to express "Precision Crafted Performance". The concept retains familiar design elements from the Acura brand such as the cartoonish dimensions.

Acura is the premium brand for Honda and delivers luxury vehicles. The brand gives an emphasis on performance and style. The Acura executives repeatedly uttered the tagline ‘Precision Crafted Performance’. It seems the tagline is so important to Acura they are capitalizing on it.

The Acura concept car itself is outlandishly beautiful. The body shape of the new car can be best described with a ‘Camaro-like power’. The car features a low-crouched build and wide stance.

There are tight wells on the car which accentuate the huge wheels onto which thin-walled tires are clad. The front grille of the concept car is diamond shaped giving off a dominating presence.

There is also a mirroring diamond on the fascia which accents the entire concept. Additionally the deep cuts and sharp angles help emphasize the glittery theme.

The hood also continues the diamond-shaped theme, cutting upwards and flattening to the windscreen. Similarly the headlamps have very blade-like shapes. The body of the car contains deep insets and sharp protrusions. All of it creates lines along the sides of the car.

The NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) is hosted at the MGM Grand Detroit. 2016 will be the 28th year of the ultra-luxury automotive event. The NAIAS constitutes the release of more than 50 new cars. NAIAS will last from the 16th to the 24th of January, 2016.
