Jessica Jones’ second season has been given the thumbs up by Netflix as the other Marvel series will also premiere on the network.

Netflix has become one of the coolest networks with the coolest shows. The best news is that its hit shows have been given the go ahead to shoot their next seasons.

One of those show is of course the recently released Marvel Jessica Jones. The latest of Marvel’s heroines, Jessica Jones features a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones.

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero time, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a private investigator in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighbourhood while in hiding from the villain Kilgrave throughout the series.

Jessica Jones featured Critics' Choice award nominee Krysten Ritter for her role in the series. She was joined by an amazing cast including David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, and others. Mike Colter will soon be featuring in his own Marvel show Luke Cage while David Tenant will not be returning for obvious reasons.

The series is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter) and Liz Friedman (Elementary), along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Daredevil, Lost, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

According to THR, Melissa said that she has no idea when the show will air this year. She hoped that it will premiere before Marvel Defenders as the story line will be settled only is Jessica Jones makes it in time.

The second season will also feature 13 episodes so Melissa is concerned which plot they will be picking next in the second season.

According to network sources, Jessica Jones will come after Marvel Daredevil. Daredevil will be launched April 10th. Jessica Jones is then set to be followed by Marvel's Luke Cage and Marvel's Iron Fist sometime in 2016.

There is the probability that the characters will emerge together in Marvel Defenders which will premiere only on Netflix sometime in 2018.
