The first Grammys 2016 performers have been announced.

The Grammys 2016 will take place for the 58th time on Feb. 15. Today the first performers at the Grammy Award Show have been revealed. Adele, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and Little Big Town have been named as Grammy performers for this year.

Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and Little Big Town are nominated for a Grammy. Kendrick Lamar has an eye-popping 11 Grammy nominations and the Weeknd has 7 nominations. Taylor Swift has also 7 nominations. I would not be surprised if Taylor Swift will also be announced as performer at the Grammys 2016.

Adele had with her comeback album 25 record breaking release, but Adele has not gotten a single 2016 Grammy Award Nomination. This is not a snub. There is a technical reason for that. 2016 Grammy Nominations are only for work released between Oct 1, 2014 and Sept 30, 2015.

Adele will be collecting a ton of 2017 Grammy Nominations and should end up getting some additional to her 10 Grammys she already owns.

The Grammys 2016 will be broadcasted live on Feb. 15 at 8pm ET on CBS. For the first time the Grammy Award show will be broadcasted live also on the West Coast. This makes a lot of sense in our social media world. The west coast had to wait hours before knowing what East Coast Twitter users talked about.

The West Coast CBS station will end up broadcasting the Grammys twice. They will keep airing it also in the prime time slot.
