The Apple Watch will be updated in March, but only with new watchOS 2.2 and new bands.

Apple is rumored to release a new Apple Watch this Spring. A new report says that this Spring release only brings new bands and watchOS 2.2. The next hardware upgrade of the Apple Watch is coming in Fall with the Apple Watch 2.

9to5Mac says the focus of the Apple Watch update in March is on new band materials and colors. Also Apple is likely announcing more partnerships similar to Hermes.

The watchOS 2.2 update allows to sync multiple Apple Watches with one iPhone and offers new features in the Map app.

We have said before that it makes much more sense for Apple to launch the Apple Watch 2 in fall, ahead of the Holiday shopping season. The Apple Watch is the perfect gadget gift. Sales are going to be much higher if the Apple Watch is brand new ahead of Christmas.

Apple is supposed to announce these new Apple Watch developments along the new iPhone 5se.

The Apple Watch 2 is rumored to feature a video camera for FaceTime and new health and body sensors. It is also supposed to be thinner.
