The new iPhone 7 will come with a dual camera solution says Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI securities.

The iPhone 7 is expected to be a complete redesign. Apple is releasing its new flagship iPhone this Fall. One differentiating feature could be a dual camera.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI securities reports according to 9to5Mac, that Apple is going to offer a premium iPhone 7 Plus with a dual camera for better photo quality.

The dual camera system would be powered by technology Apple got via the Linx camera tech firm last year. The solution uses algorithms that combine the data of the two cameras into one high quality photo.

Ming-Chi Kuo is saying that Apple is creating a new premium SKU for an iPhone 7 Plus with dual camera. The standard iPhone 7 will not have the enhanced camera.

Additionally the analyst believes Apple will offer 2-3x optical zoom on the iPhone 7 Plus camera. Consumers want good cameras in their smartphones. If Apple can leap the competition in that area would be a big win.

The iPhone 7 has not leaked yet, but rumors and leaks intensify for a new 4-inch iPhone 5se to be released in March.
