Apple has earned a lot from its Apple Watch. The Smartwatch was an instant hit all around the world. However, what we didn’t know is that Apple watch managed to break all records.

As per the report by Canalyst, Apple sold about 12 million units. As per the estimate by the Canalyst, the shipment constitutes around two-thirds of all shipments.

The chart by the Canalyst shows that Samsung Gear S2 follows closely behind. However, Samsung returned to its runner-up position after improving its second version quite harder.

The third place is occupied by Pebble, while the fourth positon goes to Huawei. Huawei has fared very well in the sales. The company managed to leave LG behind with just one watch.

Coming to the fitness trackers and bands, Fitbit despite of fake data reports remained on the top. The second slot went to Xiaomi Mi Band which was not far behind. MiBand managed to sell around 13 million units which is the same figure as that of Apple.

What’s important here is that Fitbit managed to surpass Apple.

This means that we are clearly stepping into the era of fitness wearables and not Smartwatches.

Canalyst’s report also showed that, in total, Garmin, Fitbit and Apple managed to contribute over 60% to the entire wearable market.

The figure is quite astounding indeed!
