Apple TV 4 Supporting 3 More Apps For Universal Search Functionality

The Apple TV 4 has managed to prove its worth as a world- class set- top box within no time.

There are a number of features which have succeeded to capture the attention of the audience, with Universal Search being the topmost of all.

Universal Search allows users to perform a single search across multiple platforms and different channels to get high quality content.

Apple has now extended its unique and swift search including Siri to three other Apps.

Till now, the search feature only enabled index and access listing from Hulu, iTunes, Netflix, PBS Kids, PBS, Showtime, Showtime Anytime, HBO Go, and HBO Now.

Moreover, it must be kept in mind that the access is only available to Apple TV 4 owners in the USA. Now, Apple has extended the Universal Search feature to support Fox Now, Nat Geo TV, and FXNow.

Still, the services will only be available for US Apple TV 4 users.

Those who will be using the feature outside of USA will have to search it as a feature only.

Only specific channels and searches will be available to access too. It is expected that the Universal Search support will be extended for other countries around the world soon.

But, currently, USA users are enjoying the perks. If you are still confused regarding the support, Apple has created a support page to discuss the Universal Search option in greater clarity.

The page also describes different channels and sources that can be searched via Apple TV 4 or by Siri Remote functionality.
