Samsung Galaxy S7 Expected To Come With Always On Display

Samsung Galaxy S7 has been in rumors around 10 times, each day.

I think that is even under-estimation! February 21 is not far away, but the leaks are not stopping at all.

A live image of the Samsung Galaxy S7 just leaked a short time ago. Now, we have a detailed look on one of the device’s features.

A report leaked in January stated that both the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge would come with a feature called Always On Display.

This feature has now been confirmed by a trademark application filed by Samsung in the US.

As per the leaked application, Samsung wants to own the term Always On Display’s trademark. We don’t know what the term means so we have to wait and see if the trademark gets accepted or not.

The term has been filed under the domain of mobile phones and tablets.

However, the listing has made it clear that such feature would soon be introduced if the application gets accepted.

It is expected that Always On Display will work in a same way as Nokia Windows Phones did few years ago.

Since Samsung has AMOLED screens, it only lights up the pixels that are showing something.

However, there is no mentioning of the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in the USPTO filing.

It means that there can be a chance that the Always On Display is meant for other Samsung upcoming phones.

The filing data of the application is the February 2, which is still hinting that there might be some ray of hope for Samsung Galaxy S7 series.
