As part of its intelligent park assist technology, Nissan Motors now introduces the world’s first “intelligent parking chair” which helps drivers to park their chairs without any hassles using automatic steering.

The Intelligent Parking Chair moves to a unique position automatically when activated, using a roller which moves 360 degrees when connected that determines the set target position. Already, four cameras are placed on the room’s ceiling to generate a bird’s-eye view in order to wirelessly transmit the position of the chair to its desired destination.

This office technology makes it possible for innovative business to be freed from the trouble of arranging chairs each time they require a particular seating arrangement for a meeting or conference. This technology is however already in use in Nissan’s X-Trail Hybrid vehicle among others.

Nissan has a corporate vision of “enriching people’s lives through technology” and this innovative office technology is a reflection of this vision and was derived therefrom – having been developed together with BIRDMAN, an award-winning creative team.

The ultimate objective of developing the automatic chair is to show that the latest technology utilized in Nissan latest vehicles can actually change people’s everyday lives and promote their progress one way or the other.
