Nissan Intros World's First Automated Intelligent Parking Chair
  • Nissan introduces ‘Intelligent Parking Chair’ concept technology!

The new Nissan concept is an innovative chair that moves into position automatically.

Nissan Motors just announced the introduction of their ‘Intelligent Parking Chair’ concept. The concept is inspired by Nissan’s intelligent park assist technology.

The technology allows drivers to easily park their vehicles using automatic steering. In simpler terms the ‘Intelligent Parking Chair’ is a unique and innovative chair.

The chair automatically moves to a set position without human assistance. The chair uses the automatic steering tech by Nissan to go into its right space.

The Nissan chair has a roller to automatically move 360 degrees. The chair also includes a system that indicates the target position. Nissan recently released videos showing the chair in action.

Nissan placed cameras on the room’s ceiling to generate a bird's-eye view of the chairs. The cameras wirelessly transmit the chair's position and its route to destination. Nissan released a video showing the chairs as they align themselves.

The video shows the chairs themselves move forward into their cubicles after everyone has left. Similarly another video shows the chairs aligning themselves perfectly in a conference room as if being led by invisible hands. The chairs contain large round bottoms where no doubt they contain the wireless sensors.

The Nissan Intelligent Parking Chair is an innovation in office technology. The new chair will free businessmen from the troublesome task of arranging chairs.

The tech used in the chairs was previously used in the European model X-Trail Hybrid. The tech is now used in other Nissan vehicles around the world.
