8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab E Android Tablet for Families Unveiled
Samsung Tab E 8-inch

Samsung introduced a new Android tablet aimed at families.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab E with an 8.0-inch screen is now available from Verizon. This tablet features Multi-User Mode that enables separate logins, allowing each user to save settings and keep information private. Samsung markets the Tab E to families.

When you lend your tablet to a friend or family member, it often comes back with different background screens, altered settings and new or missing apps. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0" unique user accounts option, that's no longer an issue. Everyone who plays or works on the tablet can create an individual account with their favorite applications, tools, settings and content.

For parents, that also means you can restrict the applications your kids can access or download. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab E, mom and dad can watch their shows on go90 and the kids can enjoy thousands of parent-approved games available on the Google Play store. If you use the Samsung Kid's Mode available in Galaxy Essential widget, you'll have total control over your child's tablet experience, including age-appropriate content and games.

Featuring a 8-inch screen and weighing less than a pound, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E is the perfect tablet to pack for a family road trip. Bundled with a Verizon data plan, your family can enjoy hours of streaming videos, follow friends and family online and upload videos and photos captured on the device's rear- and front-facing cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0") includes Ultra power saving mode that makes your battery last longer. The feature turns the screen black and white and shuts down all unnecessary features to save battery life.

Tab E features include:

8" WXGA 1280x800 resolution screen

16GB of memory (add up to 128GB with a microSD card)

5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera

1.3GHz Quad Core processor with Android Lollipop

5000 mAH battery for up to 21 hours of use

Multi-window support (run two apps at the same time)

KNOX defense grade security

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet from Verizon is on sale starting today for $249.99 or $10.41 per month for 24 months with Verizon device payment (0% APR; full price $249.99).

The tablet is also available for $149.99 with a new, two-year activation. Customers can add a tablet to your existing Verizon plan for an additional $10 per month (plus taxes and fees). The Verizon plan is available in five sizes, from size S with 1GB for $30/month to XXL with 18GB for $100/month, plus taxes and fees, and allows you to share data across up to 10 devices.
