Today, Feb. 18 is National Drink Wine Day. Why?

The Pope just overtook National Drink Wine Day as top trending hashtag on Twitter, because he slammed Donald Trump. Since this morning though, #NationalDrinkWineDay was the #1 hashtag. Feb. 18 is National Drink Wine Day. It has been created to supposedly promote the health benefits of wine.

There is though no credible source I could find that of the Nation Drink Wine Day. Our research shows that it appears the first time online in 2008. Since this morning TV shows and media outlets promote for free wine drinking. Why? Because it is Nation Drink Wine Day. This is a genius thing for the wine industry. Free content, free publicity and free social media attention.

I am Austrian. I love wine. I don't need a National Drink Wine Day. It is every day, just not in the morning like Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today show.

It is also National Battery Day today. It is not trending though. People just love wine more.

Emily Ratajkowski also loves wine...

Snowed in.
