Sony Xperia Agent Details

The Sony media event at the MWC 2016 revealed several future devices including the Sony Xperia Agent.

At the Sony Mobile World Congress 2016 event, the Japanese company showed off new smart devices powered by artificial intelligence. Sony aims to make our lives and our interaction with devices more human again.

Sony revealed four new smart Xperia devices, but only one has a shipping date. The Xperia Ear will be released this summer. The Xperia Agent is at this point just a concept.

The Sony Xperia Agent concept is a vision for a personalized assistant. It will enhance everyday life by responding to voice and gestures. The AI powered gadget is providing you with useful information, communication assistance and home appliance controls.

It is also powered by Sony’s voice technology and will respond to a number of commands and has a built-in camera and projector display for projecting content onto surfaces.

The Sony Agent is basically the answer to Amazon's Echo, which enjoys huge popularity. The Sony Agent takes things further with projector and gestures, but the Echo is on the market and Sony's Agent not. Watch below the Sony Xperia Agent demo video.

Sony unveiled besides the Xperia Agent and Xperia Ear, the Xperia Eye and Xperia Projector along with the Sony Xperia X smartphone line at the MWC 2016.
