The Oscars 2016 are hosted by comedian Chris Rock. He apparently plans to host the Academy Awards from Space.

Chris Rock tries on a NASA astronaut suit ahead of the Oscars 2016. "Getting my outfit together," the comedian shared on Twitter. There is a lot of pressure on Chris Rock to host the Oscars 2016 in a funny, but highly critical way.

Maybe he already plans his exit in case he offends too many people. The ISS is a save place for a black comedian. Chris Rock's response to the almost all white nominees "The Oscars. The White BET Awards." is still pinned on Chris Rock's Twitter account.

Chris Rock is hosting the Oscars for the second time. It has been 11 years, but he will know what jokes will work. When he signed up for the job, the "Oscars so White" was not a hot topic. Rock has reportedly complete reworked his material after the controversy boiled over and several actors announced to boycott the Oscars this year.

The Oscars 2016 will be broadcasted live on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 7pm ET starting with the Oscars Red Carpet coverage. The award ceremony kicks off at 8:30pm ET. ABC will stream the Oscars 2016 live online, but the feed requires a participating TV provider account and is available in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

There will be also a behind the scenes live broadcast available in addition to the main broadcast. The Oscars Backstage will be streamed online on the Oscars.com site.
