Nissan has ‘unboxed’ its latest Electric Vehicle the new Nissan LEAF 30kWh. The car was unveiled on the opening day of the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2016.

The software enabled Nissan LEAF 30 kWh was unveiled along with the largest names in technology at the convention in Barcelona. The new Nissan LEAF comes with a 26 percent increase in driving range.

Technically the Nissan LEAF can now run for 250 km on a single charge. The New Nissan LEAF has a new 30 kWh battery. The Nissan LEAF will also be changing the connectivity landscape.

The vehicle comes with an improved version of NissanConnect EV infotainment system. The NissanConnect EV system is a leader in accessible in-vehicle technologies. It will give the Nissan LEAF control of many vehicle features at the touch of a button.

Nissan released a new film alongside the car highlighting new updates available in the MY16 Nissan LEAF 30 kWh. It is first time Nissan has participated in the Mobile World Congress. The unveiling also marks the closing of the gap between the automotive and technology worlds.

Gareth Dunsmore is the Director of Electric Vehicles for Nissan Europe. According to Dunsmore, the event was ideal to showcase their latest technology.

Dunsmore then called Nissan the leader of the electric vehicle revolution. Dunsmore stated at Nissan they are committed to bringing cutting-edge technology, connectivity and e-mobility.

“In a fully connected, fully mobile world, in-vehicle connectivity is an absolute must for today’s drivers. That is why Nissan is proud to be at the forefront of developing efficient and reliable in-vehicle connected technologies that are available and accessible to all,” added Dunsmore.
