Wearable Company Misfit Goes Baselworld 2016

The Baselworld 2016 is not just about Swiss luxury watches anymore. The wearable companies invade the traditional Swiss trade show.

Wearable technology company Misfit will be exhibiting in Basel, Switzerland for the Fossil Group Global Expo, coinciding with Baselworld 2016, the world's largest jewelry and accessories show.

Misfit will be one of the first major wearables brands to have a presence in Basel. Misfit will be part of the Fossil Group Global Expo at Riehenring 182. Technically Misfit is not at the Baselworld 2016. The Fossil Group Global Expo is a 15 minute walk away from the Basel Messe halls where the Baselworld 2016 is taking place.

The Fossil Group owns a long list of brands and can present them in its own little Baselworld. Fossil Group brands include besides Fossil, Skagen many fashion watch brands like Marc Jacobs, Emporio Armani, Relic, Karl Lagerfeld and Michael Kors.

Misfit got acquired by the Fossil Group, in November of 2015 to gain access to Fossil Group’s world-class design teams and global expertise in sales, marketing, and distribution. Fossil Group brands feature an extensive line of men’s and women’s fashion watches, jewelry, handbags, small leather goods and accessories that are found in department stores, specialty retail stores and specialty watch and jewelry stores in the U.S. and approximately 150 countries.

Misfit will be showing off Misfit Ray Fitness and Sleep Monitor with new fashion-forward accessories. Misfit will also exhibit Shine 2, the next generation of the Shine Fitness and Sleep Monitor.

Founded in 1917, Baselworld had 150,000 attendees from over 100 countries last year. The Baselworld 2016 kicks of March 17, 2016.
