Oscars 2016 Predictions: Inside Out will win Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film

The Oscars 2016 predictions are like telepathy. One of the latest one is that Inside Out will win an academy award for Best Animated Feature Film.

The predictions for the Oscars are coming out of the prognosticators’ brains like hotcakes from an oven. The latest one is about Inside Out. The animated movie has so much in common with Ratatouille, Toy Story 3 and Frozen.

Yet it is different stuff and seems to touch a delicate chord in the audience. The animated movie is about the emotions and how they are personified in a character.

The main protagonist of the movie has five emotions inside her that are represented by quirky characters. The characters that personify the emotions are built in accordance with what they ought to represent. How the emotions are expressed and their integration is what the movie is all about.

In a way, it is similar to Ratatouille. Most of the animated fare is for children yet it is also adult stuff since it contains valuable lessons for the more mature people in the audience.

Animated movies have a way of pulling in the audience. They show our more playful side and bring out the inner child from within. The colorful protagonists and antagonists make for a lot of fun and games along the way.

The rhythm of the narrative is what it is all about. While there is definitely a moral lesson along the way, there is no seriousness of the nature of real movies about these animated films (unless you count Frozen).

Inside Out will surely take the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film. It has just the right ingredients to make for a successful oeuvre at the Academy Awards.

The blue haired and colorful characters include a red hot monster that represents Anger. As for the other emotions, they are a bunch of strange and wild characters.

The real challenge is to have Joy win out over the other negative emotions. It after all is the only positive emotion of the lot.

While the rest of the emotions do have their place in the pantheon of the heart, it is Joy that has pride of place. It is the balancing emotion that lets the other ones settle down in their respective slots.

The 88th Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 28, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
