A new rumor out of Japan says that the iPhone 7 will be a full millimeter thinner than the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 is rumored since last November to be very thin. The new design will get rid of the headphone jack to gain the flexibility for an even thinner design than the iPhone 6S.

Japanese Apple blog macotakara claims in a new report that the iPhone 7 will be 1mm thinner than the iPhone 6S. This would mean the iPhone 7 is 6.1mm thin an the iPhone 7 Plus is going to be 6.3mm thin. The new Galaxy S7 is 7.9mm thick. The iPhone 7 would be a whopping 1.8mm thinner. macotakara also claims that Apple would make the rear camera lens flush with the back surface. This for me is more important that shaving off another millimeter in thinness.

The iPhone 7 is according to the new report getting for the first time in an iPhone stereo speakers. The overall design is supposed to stay close to the current iPhone 6 design and also water proof qualities like found in the new Galaxy S7 is not coming.

Apple is expected to reveal the new iPhone 7 in September along with wireless Beats earbuds.

The iPhone 7 is certainly the most exciting new iPhone release this year. The iPhone SE rumored to be released on March 21 is only of interest for some Apple fans that do not need or want the bigger screens found in the iPhone 6S. If they rumored lower price of $400 be an argument to pick the iPhone SE over the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 is questionable.
