The next HTC smartphone is rumored to be just named HTC 10.

HTC has a comeback at the forefront of innovation with the HTC Vive VR system. Smartphones are a different story. HTC lost traction, but maybe the new HTC 10 will bring it back into the game.

HTC has begun teasing the HTC One M10, but according to @evleaks, HTC will change branding of the new smartphone to HTC 10, dropping the "One" and the M from the name. I am big fan of simplified branding. HTC 10 sounds strong and clean. It also leaves room for extending for different sizes or versions, think HTC 10 Plus.

HTC most recent #powerof10 teaser, the company makes statements like "we are working nonstop, we are obsessed making your phone even better."

The company has not yet announced when the HTC 10 will be unveiled. They missed the Mobile World Congress 2016 as opportunity to introduce the new HTC 10. Timing will be important. March is already going to be occupied by Apple with the rumored iPhone SE.

At this point not much is known about the HTC 10, besides it is supposed to have a great camera. Some rumors suggest the Android 6 Marshmellow phone is running on a Snapdragon 820 CPU.
