The rumored March 21 Apple event is confirmed.

Several media outlets including TechInsider have just received an invite from Apple for a March 21 event. The Apple March event will be held on the Apple campus in Cupertino starting 10am PT.

Buzzfeed has called out the March 21 date end of February. Apple is expected to unveil the 4-inch iPhone SE and a small iPad Pro at the event. The invite has as text only "Let us loop you in." The are no hidden hints. Apple just wants to update the world on what is new.

The new iPhone Special Edition (SE) is believed to be modeled after the iconic iPhone 5, but with iPhone 6S performance. The iPhone SE is said to run on latest A9 CPU and the M9 Chip.

Other features of the iPhone SE include Apple Pay, iPhone 6 quality camera, always-on Siri and Live Photos. Color options are supposed to include bright pink. This new iPhone is offering a state-of-the-art iPhone experience, but in a small package with an expected lower price than the iPhone 6S.

The iPhone SE is supposed to not kill the iPhone 5S. An analyst reports says that Apple will cut the iPhone 5S price in half and continue selling it. The iPhone SE price would be $450, the same price the iPhone 5S is selling now.

Finally the first iPhone SE part has leaked out of Asia, confirming that Apple's partners are indeed in production of a new 4-inch iPhone SE.
