Talk about the perfect director finding the perfect story. A Peculiar world is highlighted in Tim Burton's next movie, which is an adaptation of Ransom Riggs' popular novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. The first official trailer dropped today, and it takes the first extended look into Jake's (Asa Butterfield) journey to the island where Miss Peregrine's (Eva Green) keeps her home and peculiar children.

There are some very familiar characters from the novel, including Emma Bloom (played by Ella Purnell) who teaches him that he isn't an ordinary boy - he has a peculiar ability himself. He was sent to protect the children as the darkness threatens to overtake the orphanage.

Miss Peregrine is kind of like a creepy version of Mary Poppins, and she provides shelter for children who have abilities that other people "don't understand."

What the trailer below for a closer look at the movie, that has a large number of famous faces, including Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film is set to hit theaters on September 30, 2016.
