Chevrolet Reveals 2017 Sonic with a Sportier Look
  • Chevrolet presents the 2017 Sonic with a sportier look ahead of New York Auto Show!

The car now featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto was unwrapped before the New York Auto Show.

Chevrolet just disclosed the 2017 Sonic which features a sportier look. The new 2017 Sonic is an expressive sporty take on Chevrolet’s small car. The fresh interior is complemented by new LED signature lighting.

The 2017 Chevrolet Sonic now includes latest in-car tech. Sonic includes the segment-exclusive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new tech is integrated in the new MyLink system of the 2017 Sonic. The new MyLink system comes with a standard 7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen.

The new 2017 Sonic comes with convenience features such as an available heated steering wheel. A new Rear Park Assist feature is also included in the 2017 Sonic.

The features make the 2017 Sonic having one of the most comprehensive safety packages in its segment. The 2017 Sonic will be available in two engine options.

The first is the standard Ecotec 1.8L engine. Similarly the Sonic will also be available in an Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine capable of 138 horsepower (102 kW).

“The new styling and features of the 2017 Sonic reinforce its position as a fun, efficient small car with leading technology – all at an affordable price,” said Steve Majoros, director of marketing, Chevrolet Cars and Crossovers.

“This is an important segment for Chevrolet, as we really have an opportunity to introduce ourselves to new buyers and show them what we’re all about.”

According to Chevy the 2017 Sonic is a fun, efficient small car with leading technology. The new styling and features of the Sonic reinforce the image at an affordable price.

Chevy also stated the Sonic segment is important for them. The new Sonic also gives them the opportunity to introduce themselves to new buyers. The 2017 Sonic is aimed at younger customers especially buyers younger than 35 years.

The 2017 Sonic will come with three different trims. The trims are the LS, LT and Premier trims on sedan models. The Sonic hatchback will be offered exclusively in RS guise with LT and Premier trims. The 2017 Sonic will be available in the US from the fall of 2016.
