Twitter is going time zone to time zone to celebrate its 10th birthday across the globe with a video chronicling the most significant moments of the decade.

Twitter is a worldwide phenomenon. It made the world learn how to use their words properly with its 120 character limit which they don’t seem to be increasing any time soon but Twitter is the social media site that has made the hastag popular and across the years, it has helped to chronicle the world’s views about everything that is going on in the world.

That is the message that Twitter is focusing on as it celebrates its 10th birthday. The social media site has claimed that it will start its celebration at the start of 21st March from Australia and end at the San Francisco sunset.

Throughout the day, as 21st March will rise in each area of the world where there are Twitter users, they will be treated to the video that Twitter has put together to thank it’s fans and users for making Twitter the phenomenon that it is today.

The video is a montage of a decade long Twitter journey in which Twitter mentions that on its 10th birthday, it thanks all the fans and users for making history, driving change, lifting each other up and laughing together every day.

Each statement is followed by a series of brief clips which were recorded and shared over Twitter over the past decade including, social, political, religious and public movements including the space ventures, Arab revolution, the FIFA world cup Germany win, Prince George’s birth, DiCaprio winning the Oscar, Malala’s address at the UN, Black Lives Matter movement, LGBT Marriage bill which was celebrated with hastag LoveWins.

The Nigerian school kidnappings, Nelson Mandela’s death, Boston attack, the Tsunami in Korea, Paris attacks and a series of funny videos with celebrities which had indeed made us all laugh.

The video will be played worldwide as wished from Tweeters will keep coming in throughout the day and Twitter’s own hastag for the day is #LOVEtwitter which will automatically generate a heart and Twitter icon which is the blue bird.
