It is almost show time in Cupertino. Apple is hosting the first Apple Media Event of 2016. Here is what to expect and what not.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is right now likely going through his opening speech of today's Apple Event at the Apple headquarters in Cupertino. The event begins at 10am PDT. Will he mention the FBI case? Maybe. It is a huge issue that will reach a new climax in court tomorrow.

What we sure will hear about are some stunning numbers to begin with. App downloads or music sales and maybe even some iPhone sales related market numbers. Then it is about new products.

Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone SE, a small iPhone packed with iPhone 6S technology in the design of an iPhone 5S, if the rumors can be believed. As reported earlier, no iPhone SE leak has confirmed any of the rumors. The iPhone SE could even be a no show today.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is the 2nd big hardware announcement. It will have besides a smaller form factor likely an improved camera system comparable to the iPhone 6S. The first iPad Pro has an 8MP camera without flash. It could be that Apple is refreshing the 12.9-inch iPad Pro as well with a 12MP camera and LED flash today.

Apple is also expected to reveal new Apple Watch models with new band styles. That is it.

What not to expect today are any Apple Mac computer related updates. New iMac, MacBooks and Mac computer will be made if at all at the WWDC 2016 in June.

There is always that chance for a classic one more last thing or something completely unexpected that has been missed by the Apple rumor mill.

The live stream of the Apple Media Event will be starting at 10am PDT, 1pm ET. Apple is expected to live blog the keynote in parallel to provide background details and point out highlights.

If the rumors are to be believed Apple will unveil an 4-inch iPhone SE, a new small 9.7-inch iPad Pro and new Apple Watch models or bands. The latest rumors reveal that the iPad Pro will get either a Flash for the iSight camera or even sport a dual camera.

We will offer live coverage of the Apple event and throughout the day to report about the latest rumors and leaks ahead of the Apple media event. All details about the announced new Apple products will be available after the event in our Apple News section.
